GPDS-UPM is a Research Group Unit of the Technical University of Madrid, hosted by the School of Telecommunications Engineering. It is composed by 6 professors, 20 researchers or Ph. D. candidates and a variable number of master students, doing research in different areas, including prominently Air Traffic Control and Management, Ambient Intelligence and Ubiquitous Computing and Advanced Mobile Applications.
Starting in 1982, the Research Unit has a long story of successful projects with industry. Among its corporate partners, there are companies such as Telefonica I+D, Indra, Siemens, Aena, Boeing, Orange, Eurocontrol, Telvent, CRIDA, Thales, ATOS, Treelogic, Fractalia, Deimos-Space, Inerza, Sensing&Control,etc.
